COLLECTIONS
Eastern Europe

“Gold of the North” is a mysterious fashionable and reputedly health-giving stone. Amber is petrified resin from prehistoric trees, washed ashore onto the Baltic Sea. The resin has gone through a number of changes over millions of years.
Although the Eastern European collection is one of Sikara’s past collections, the best-selling pieces remain part of our collection and are available for purchase.
Bubble Collection
The Bubble Collection is inspired by elements of Polish design. The amber in this collection spans from fiery reds and oranges to yellows and greens. These jewelry pieces easily compliment clothing with earth tones (creams, browns, oranges, greens, blacks) and can be worn year round.
Egypt
The Egyptians, like people from other developed cultures in the ancient world valued personal adornment. In addition to both men and women wearing jewelry, the Egyptians adorned jewelry onto statues of kings and gods. Much of the jewelry we are familiar with today existed in ancient Egypt. From evidence of the New Kingdom’s coffins and statuary, a period of great prosperity in Egypt, it appears that a well-dressed man or woman of the time might wear earrings, an elaborate broad collar, bracelets, armbands and a number of rings and anklets.
Pieces of jewelry were highly valued and often passed down through the generations.
Zamalek

Egypt is an amazing place where century old traditions co-exist with modern technology and lifestyles.
Cairo, known as the Jewel of the Orient, is one of the largest cities in the Middle East and Africa. The name of this collection is inspired by the Zamalek section of Cairo, an island in the Nile that lies between modern downtown Cairo and Giza.
The Zamalek Collection captures the ancient and modern influences of Egyptian art and luxury.
Arabesque

The Arabesque collection is inspired by Egyptian architecture and ancient hieroglyphics. As you meander through the walkways of the Khan el-Khalili market and the streets of Old Cairo, Egyptian architecture engulfs you in its complex geometric decorative designs and intricate patterns that adorn palaces, mosques and public areas.
Geometric motifs found in the architecture express logic and order and characterize Islamic art and designs.
This collection is also influenced by hieroglyphics, the earliest form of Egyptian script which are synonymous with Egyptian history and are evident in everything from the columned halls of the Karnak temple to the Valley of the Kings and Queens.
India

India is a country full of color, exotic spices and diversity in its people and land. The area, also known as the Indus Valley, is host to one of the oldest civilizations in the world, dating back at least 5,000 years. It is home to the Taj Mahal as well as home to some of the largest technology companies in the world.
The diversity found in this land can also be found in the diversity of design in its jewelry.
Jaipuri Stone

Jaipur, the capital city of the northern Indian state of Rajasthan, is one of the most vibrant and colorful cities of India.
Jaipur is the world’s largest gem-cutting center and, therefore, the best place to find semi-precious stones ranging from garnets, sapphires, emeralds to topaz and peridot.
Jewelry as an investment and identity marker is evident in the plethora of ornaments worn by the people of India.

Capri has a reputation as a Garden of Eden and paradise and Sikara Capri Collection is a reflection of this luxury.
Mexico

The history of silver from Mexico is a fascinating combination of legend and fact. The country’s natural wealth of silver attracted early Conquistadors.
Before the Spanish arrived, the Aztecs had the locals pay tribute to them with silver and gold bars. By the end of the century under the Spaniards’ rule, silver from Mexico had spread across Europe and had become one of Spain’s primary resources.
Art Deco
Our Art Deco line showcases bold Mexican designs characterized by squares, circles and lines. The term Art Deco was developed in the early 20th century during the war years.
Although the term originated in Paris, the term has crossed many cultural borders acquiring a unique presence in each country. It was the beginning of a generation of cosmopolitan art and was synonymous with modernity.
In Mexico, elements of folkloric handicraft traditions were molded with formal characteristics of art deco.
